We get passed over, boxed in, or burned out. We're creative, capable, and motivated — but the system expects us to squeeze into roles that weren't built for how our minds work.

At AOG, we flip that script.

You don't have to wait for a job opening.
You don't have to fundraise your own salary first.
If you have a skill that helps our work — we want to pay you for it.

That's what Your Job, Your Way is about.

💼 What Is This Program?

Your Job, Your Way is how people get paid to work with AOG by building roles around their real skills.

You can come to us with:

  • A skill you already have
  • A service you can provide
  • A program, project, or idea you want to run

And we work with you to turn that into paid, contract work — without unpaid labor, gatekeeping, or vague promises.

Some people bring ideas that generate funding or growth.
Others bring skills AOG already needs.

Both paths are valid. Both can lead to paid work.

🔧 Two Ways to Get Paid Through This Program

1️⃣ Skill-Based Paid Work (No Fundraising Required)

If you have a skill AOG can use — such as:

  • facilitation or moderation
  • design, tech, admin, or operations support
  • outreach, organizing, or coordination
  • writing, content, or program support

You can pitch the work itself, not a fundraiser.

If it's a good fit and we have budget, we:

  • define the scope together
  • agree on pay
  • hire you as a contractor

No "prove yourself for free."
No unpaid trials.
No dangling carrots.

If you help us do our work, you deserve to be paid for it.

2️⃣ Build-Your-Own Role (Outcome-Based Hiring)

If you want to create something new — a program, event series, sponsorship pipeline, or revenue idea — this is where the original model comes in.

How it works:

  • You pitch the idea
  • We agree on a clear, measurable goal (funding, attendance, growth, etc.)
  • You lead the work with AOG's support
  • If the goal is met, we guarantee a paid contract to continue the work

No endless "volunteering."
No ambiguity about what happens if it succeeds.

If it works, you get hired. Period.

🎤 Paid Presenter Series

Get Support. Host a Presentation. Get Paid.

AOG also runs a Paid Presenter Series designed specifically for Autistic adults who want to share their knowledge, experiences, or special interests — without having to do everything alone.

If you have an idea for a:

  • workshop
  • talk
  • discussion
  • skills training
  • lived-experience presentation

We can support you with:

  • shaping the idea
  • promotion and registration
  • hosting and tech
  • accessibility support

Presenters are paid from the proceeds of the event, with clear expectations and transparent splits — not "exposure," not unpaid emotional labor.

You bring the knowledge.
We help you hold the container.
You get paid for your time and expertise.
