Peer Connect Is Here: Find Support or Become a Peer Connector

MyAOG

You can join Peer Connect now through MyAOG! Our new program gives Autistic and neurodivergent adults 18 and older a free way to connect one-to-one with a volunteer peer.

Whether you would like someone to talk with or want to offer your own lived experience and listening, there is a place for you.

Why peer connection matters

Feeling understood can make a difference. Sometimes we want to talk with someone who recognizes an experience without needing every detail explained. Sometimes we need space to think aloud, share something difficult, or celebrate something that others might overlook.

Peer support makes room for that connection. You do not need a perfectly formed question or a particular problem to deserve someone’s time and attention.

Two ways to participate

Get peer support. Browse Peer Connector profiles in MyAOG and find someone whose experience or conversation style feels like a possible fit. You might talk about identity, burnout, relationships, work, navigating change, or simply what is on your mind.

Become a Peer Connector. Volunteer to listen and share your lived experience. You do not need professional credentials or all the answers. Connectors choose their availability, with no minimum commitment, and receive orientation and support from AOG.

Some people may do both at different times. Offering support and receiving it are equally valuable parts of community.

Connection with choice and flexibility

Peer Connect is free, and a formal diagnosis is not required. You choose whom to contact, what to share, and whether to continue. Connector profiles and booking links stay inside MyAOG, behind login.

Conversations are treated as private, with safety-related limits explained in the Participant Guide. Peer Connect offers lived-experience support; it is not therapy, professional care, or an emergency service.

How to join

  1. Visit MyAOG and create a free account or log in.
  2. Open Peer Connect from your MyAOG home.
  3. Browse available Connectors, read their profiles, and use their booking or contact option to arrange a conversation.
