🌍 April Town Hall: Autism Acceptance in Our Own Words

April is often recognized as Autism Acceptance Month, and at AOG we believe the most important voices in that conversation are the people who live the experience every day.

That’s why our April AOG Town Hall on Sunday the 26th at 4PM will feature a virtual panel of Autistic community members sharing their lived experiences and perspectives on what acceptance really means.

This conversation will bring together Autistic people from diverse backgrounds, identities, and support needs to talk openly about how acceptance — not just awareness — shapes our lives.

Because acceptance isn’t something that happens to us.

It’s something we build together.

🎤 By the Community, Not Just For the Community

One thing that makes this event special is that it isn’t just a discussion about autistic people.

It’s a conversation led by the community itself.

Our panelists will speak about:

  • what real acceptance looks like in everyday life
  • how support and understanding change opportunities
  • the importance of listening to autistic voices
  • and what society still has to learn

These perspectives come directly from lived experience — shared in each speaker’s own way.

🤝 A Space for Everyone

Like all AOG events, this town hall is intentionally neuroinclusive.

While the conversation centers autistic experiences, everyone is welcome to attend — autistic people, neurodivergent people, allies, family members, professionals, and anyone who wants to learn and listen.

Because acceptance grows when more people are part of the conversation.
