Human Connections: How to Avoid Being DUL

Human Connections

This session reframes connection as something we get to design, not something we have to earn by being “normal.” Using the concept of DULs (Discrete Units of Life) and the “bacteria spacesuit” metaphor, we explore why humans are composite systems, why rigid labels flatten people, and how publicly legible connection can shame divergence and block desire.

Participants leave with a simple mindset shift—be fearless, curious, and gentle—plus reflection prompts to identify the kinds of connection that help them regulate and thrive.

Note: this is an adult (18+) space and may include discussion of sex, sexuality, relationships, desire, and loneliness.
