Taming Your Fear Dog

Fear Dog

This presentation explores fear as both power and constraint: fear can create alertness and safety, but it can also become a cage (anxiety, confinement) or lead to over-agreeability and vulnerability when ignored.

Participants are guided to “name their fear dog” by identifying the shape of their fear (what they avoid, dread, can’t stop thinking about, or fight against). We then do an optional ritual using an object of personal significance: participants practice facing fear without defaulting to Fight/Flight/Freeze/Fawn, offering gratitude and forgiveness, and “leashing” the fear wolf into a fear dog—turning instant reactions into considered reactions, accommodation, and community.

We close with practical ongoing tools (“walking your dog”): noticing triggers as leash tugs, body check-ins, positive affirmations, and feeding fear something new through healthier responses. Content note: big feelings (fear/anxiety). Participation is optional and self-paced.
